So for the first that I know of, I finally wrote down the entire premise of the plot for The Horse Unleashed as a reply to a comment on EQD (poor guy got this wall of text ).  The project is still dead, but I will made a few of trailers (there were a couple of really good ones that I will eventually do), but HR is the new focus.  But anyways, get the layout below of what I had planned for it.  (And I'll flesh out the intro a bit better lately)


So >1000 ago Luna is the one who deals in the shadows with danger and is deceived by NNM (who entered into Luna's mind after the Sacrifice of the Alicorn Council to destroy her and her army and which she has been posing as a mentor unseen by everyone else). On one mission, Luna finds evidence of Celestia building a sustainable force and a powerful weapon (the "Eclipse Warship"-a massive cloud warship that utilizes the power held in crystals/Elements to produce a devastating axial mounted pulse beam) and NNM (her mentor at this point) convinces her that Celestia has become a Tyrant, is building this army to conquest and eventually will overthrow Luna.  (By long term manipulation) Luna has seen the signs too and while she refuses to believe her loyal sister would do such a thing, she eventually accepts the "reality" and prepares to make war.  Tens of thousands flock to her claiming that she was the one that they had seen in their dreams that would save them (I wonder why that is/remember that Luna hasn't learned to dream walk yet). She begins by stealing the Unfinished Eclipse warship and completes the weapon and prepares for war. Meanwhile Celestia has actually been preparing a defense from an [undecided] invasion that expected to threaten Equestria soon.  
The sides array themselves for combat at the foothills of Canterlot. Luna appears as a massive apparition and gives her ultimatum: stand down and step down or we will fight. Celestia (seeing only NNM) refuses.  With grief in her heart, Luna looks down and says "Remember this day ponies: for it shall be your last."  With that the apparition pulls back and piecing through the clouds comes the Eclipse Warship and fires up Canterlot bringing a large section of it crumbling down [and both sides are well aware it was evacuated for all but military personnel manning the siege artillery]. A massive battle ensues in which Celestia in a rage (as Solar Flare) destroys the Eclipse but then is defeated by Luna. As Luna stands over Celestia, Nightmare orders her to deliver the finish blow. Luna  absolutely refuses, saying that she is to be locked up until she is [sane again]. To this Nightmare declares she has no more use for Luna's compliance and (having returned to her former strength due to the fear surrounding the war) takes control of Luna but lashes out against Luna (in a battle of the mind) then attempts go to finish off Celestia, but is stopped by Luna. Realizing what all has really transpired (set to the tune of Makkon's Deae Lunea) the sisters together fight NNM [details are still fuzzy here], but to no avail.  Luna finally decides for them to wield the elements and Celestia agrees, but not realizing what Luna has in mind. Celestia uses her side of the elements and Luna uses her on herself to which the reaction is well beyond sufficient. Luna drags Celestia into a brief dreamlike plane (like the end of Halo 4) and apologizes for all the pain she has caused because she was so blind and then apologizes for her final action: seeing no other solution, she directed the elements to banish herself to the moon, taking Nightmare with her, separating her from the nightmares of Equestria, her source of strength and will fight Nightmare until new bearers are found (as the elements become null to the users if used directly on themselves/another bearer) and with sorry, but victory in her eyes, she tells Celestia that she is sorry. Celestia overcome with grief begins to cry out to Luna to not do this but the dreamscape is interrupted (and they return to reality) as the elements activate.  [Right here is the final build of Deae Lunae] and Nightmare becomes separated from Luna and screams in anger as Luna stands accepting in the [center of the beam from the Elements] and the elements release a final blast, Celestia is knocked off her feet and knocked unconscious. She comes to, she see's Luna's charred crown, suddenly realizing what happen, looks up to the moon and and sees the "Mare in the Moon" and cries out. (with Lullaby for a Princess playing in background).  On the moon we see Nightmare (in physical form still reeling from what happened) and Luna smirking a vengeful smile. "You lost. It's over."  "No. You're nightmare has just begun".
There's an epilogue that shows Celestia dealing being without Luna and then finding Twilight (and the joy of having maybe found the new bearers).

(There's a THU II with small segments, but mostly so I could use the TFU II trailer with Luna fighting Ursa Major/Tantabus instead.)

I scrapped this project about almost two years ago though, but I still intend of animating some of the best scenes that I had planned out.  However, I do intend on carrying lots of this over to Harmony Rift, my current project, which I WILL be doing.

I'm still Blendering...it's just taken a while to finish this thing.  About 3 months actually.  But I'm almost done, but I still need to add the engines...so have an unpowered Equestrian Kirov!

Okay, so my big project I keep alluding to, here's the battle plan.  I'll delete this once it starts rolling (Spoilers), but for you lucky few , have a look. 

1. Danger Zone - HR Rainbow Dash being absolutely insane in an advanced 5th gen fighter.  A whole lot better than Ken Loggins singing in his bedroom.

2. "Turn and Burn" - Shadowbolts under the direction of Luna assault a heavily armored airborne convoy (with armored dragons + galting guns and jets on the wings) to the HAWX 2 soundtrack.

3. "War Changes Everything" - With the bass from "Welcome to the Show" (redone by maybe Makkon ) thumping in the background, we see the devestation that has been wrought upon Equestria by The War (name coming soon).  The Equestria you knew was never the same after the Siege of Canterlot (Canterlot Wedding), but nothing compared to what would come 2 years later: the Harmonic Collapse and the Fall of the Sisters.

3.5 "Ignition" - Set to TobyMac's Ignition; Follow the birth of Ignition, a leading design-prototyping industry commissioned by Luna after the Siege of Canterlot to develop advanced tech to prevent another crisis as such.  (Includes alternate...dark ending)

4. Finally we'll begin to see SS's involvement in this universe and how briefly how she became trapped in it.

Model updates, posters, art, and maybe a few super shorts.  Plus The Horse Unleash in this universe is perfect.  Alex S's "Luna", "Mad World" and "Dream On" music trailer videos smattered in between the above listed should be enough to explain what happened: what Twilight saw in the Alicorn Lexicon: it was a lie.  Celestia couldn't let Equestria remember the real nightmare. 

Once we reach Phase 2, then we'll actually begin producing multiple shorts, episodes, and whatever else comes to mind.

Harmony Rift = MLP EQG + Military Adventure/Thriller + Joss Whedon + LOTS OF VEHICLES + 0.25(Mecha-fantasy genre) + 0.1(Attack on Titans) + 0.15 (TC's H.A.W.X. + Halo) + 0.125(Star Wars) + 0.05(Anime) ...  (you get the picture)

Yeah, Harmony Rift is gonna be awesome.

To the 8 of you watching me, I've been in the mood lately and have been tinkering with various displines in Blender from simple speed modeling to compositing and STL conversion and rigging (it's a sweet model).  With the 3 day weekend, I intend to make good use of the time.  I'm going to make a collage of sample renders of the various items as by themselves, they're not much, but together, it's progress, and actually interest.  (I accidentally made a sweet procedural desert camo that's in this batch).  Coming soon!


Also, minor profile image switch.  It's gonna do that a couple of times in the next few weeks/days.

It's been over a year and a half since the last bit of activity on my page aside from the Favorites and a few happy birthday comments.  But that is all about to change!

I've been messing around with Blender over this hiatus, but never committed to completing a specific project. However, once I complete my current CGI commision, you will be seeing lots of new media popping up here!  Some may be old sketches that called for completion, lots of new material working towards Harmony Rift.   More info about HR as the project matures, but know for now that it's definitely full animation at the highest level of realism I can.  And it's gonna be awesome.
